Dear Friend,
Have you ever thought of having your own business? Today, more than ever before, people from all walks of life are considering the possibility of starting their own business, but many times the fruitless rewards that come from starting a traditional small business leave many budding entrepreneurs still searching for answers. The demanding work of a traditional small business with hours that usually overlap into the evening and on weekends, endless amounts of capital investment, as well as the strong mental stamina needed to handle all the responsibilities for the aspiring entrepreneur can be overwhelming, even for the strong willed.
It has always been a dream of ours to have our own successful business, but we just didn't think that was any way to live with all that burden and stress. With the promise of time freedom, prestige, independence, and fulfilling work nudging seductively at our souls as an alternative to the unfulfilling "rat race" lifestyle, JoAnn and I decided to take ACTION, and look into the direct marketing industry.
We were tired of living the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle and seldom being home while we were building other people's dreams and not being in control of our own future....and we knew that if we kept doing the same things that we had always done, then we couldn't really expect anything different than what we already had gotten. That's the definition of insanity, right? As the years went by, we were starting to feel that we would never find that perfect business which would give us everything we wanted...
Financial independence, quality time with our families, freedom to do the things that are important to us, and have all the things we wanted to have.
We searched long and hard for a business that could give us what we were hoping for, and I looked into everything. In fact, the more I looked, the more I realized just how many "opportunities" were out there in the world, many of them costly franchises, so we knew we would need to be diligent and cautious in our research because changing our life was THAT important to us. Unfortunately, we never could find that "Right Opportunity".
Then, as luck [or fate] would have it, I was exposed to a system for
building a home based business in direct sales/marketing that was similar to franchising in that it provided all the support and training while we built it, and even after we built it....in other words, we were never alone, unlike that of a traditional business where entrepreneurs have to 'fly solo'. The best thing about what we found is that there was only a nominal monetary investment to get started (supplies, training, etc.). The system we discovered was not only simple to do but required very little time (we're all busy, right). This sounded really appealing to me because we didn't have a whole lot of time to spare in our busy lives. Anyway, we were seeking to GET time freedom, not LOSE more of it!
So I took a very SERIOUS look into the industry. Then Jo Ann took a serious look. We couldn't
believe what we just discovered. We were blown away by the
freedom and lifestyle that people enjoyed in this industry; many of which built their businesses initially on a part time effort around their current professions.
I remember saying: "if this is real...we ARE going to do this...and failure is NOT an option".
We'll be the first ones to tell you that starting your own home business in direct marketing isn't easy and it will require a time commitment (3-5 years like any traditional business) to develop, some money (albeit not a lot), consistancy, desire, and a strong work ethic! Failure cannot be an option. And the nice part is that if you build your business correctly (easily done by attending trainings) it will create a business with an ongoing income stream that you can pass down to your heirs long after you're gone. While our business is designed to be built effectively around your current career on a part time basis, owning and operating any business is for serious people who are willing to make sacrifices - family time and money are usually at the top of the list.

The owners of MacDonald's or WalMart and Microsoft all started out with a vision - a desire - and the determination to make their vision a reality. In other words, it wasn't free or cheap, and it sure as heck wasn't easy! They worked hard, long hours and failed many times! But they understood you don't have success without a lot of personal sacrifice and investment. The larger the dream, the more you must be willing to sacrifice! Their drive was such that they were willing to make those sacrifices to achieve their goals. They were focused on and accepted only one outcome — SUCCESS!
